For this reason, demonstrated private-sector performance over time is often a more meaningful measure of professional capability than titles, credentials, prior affiliations, or organizational prestige alone.

The most effective professionals are frequently those who combine technical competence with sound judgment, reliability, discretion, and the ability to perform efficiently and successfully under demanding circumstances. These qualities are not always evident from a résumé, website, marketing materials, or professional biography.
